Unconditional Love
About
Unconditional Love is my thesis film and is a three minute and nineteen second short 3D animation. The story is about parents making a kite for their kid with which they teach him to fly. This kite is a symbol for the things he needs to learn in order to be independent. After the child has the ability to control the kite, his parents let him take control of the kite and his life. They still love and watch him from nearby.
The features of this animation are cartoony stylized characters and the story. The film shows parents who are struggling with how to help their child be independent which is also a common problem for most families. It is hard to find a balance between helping your child or letting them deal with their problems on their own.
The center of this film is to show my appreciation to my family who have always supported me. This is a comfortable way for me to show my love to my family since I am not the person who says I love you to their loved one often, but I still want to tell them how much I love and care about them in an indirect way.
